As Vice President & General Manager for Fremont, California, Mr. Lai is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the form of implementing lean and best manufacturing practices at the Fremont, California facility. Mr. Lai is focused on delivering exceptional service to our current and new customers. Mr. Lai brings over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and operations within the electronics industry, including international experience in China, Thailand and Malaysia. He brings with him strong experience in management of multiple operations within a single plant and implementation of lean manufacturing and Kaizen techniques.

Prior to joining SMTC, Mr. Lai has worked within the EMS industry for over 20 years, positions include: Chief Operation Officer with Piranha EMS and prior to that he was Director of Operations at CTS Corporation for more than 14 years.
