MC Assembly® Awarded Manufacturer of the Year
Melbourne, Florida, Feb. 3, 2015 – MC Assembly® has been honored as the Manufacturer of the Year for Brevard County, Florida. The Florida Space Coast Economic Development Commission gave this award to MC Assembly® as part of the Made in Brevard program highlighting locally made products.
The award was created to honor local manufacturing companies who are committed to the community and excel at brining new opportunities through job creation and/or retention, new construction and new capital investments. Representatives of the Economic Development Commission praised MC Assembly® as representing the next generation of innovative thinking in manufacturing. The commission also stated that while the Space Coast has always been a high technology leader, MC Assembly® is revolutionizing the manufacturing industry in the local market.
George Moore, CEO of MC Assembly®, thanked the Commission for this award. “In 2014, we made a commitment to invest $17 million in the development of a state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facility and retain 500 jobs in the local market. I am pleased to say we are well on our way to accomplishing our goal as our new facility is 90 percent complete and we are now providing 647 jobs for Brevard County citizens.”
